What a session costs

Online sessions on Lingo start from €65 for 30 minutes, with 45 and 60 minute options priced by each therapist and shown on their profile before you book. Every therapist is CORU-registered, and there is no waiting list. In-person clinic sessions in Ireland often run higher, roughly €70 to €120, which is part of why online works out more affordable.

Claim part of the cost back

  • Tax relief: If your sessions are for a child under 18, you can claim 20% of qualifying speech and language therapy back through Revenue myAccount. On a €65 session that is about €13 back, bringing it to around €52.
  • Insurance: Many private health insurance plans (VHI, Laya, Irish Life Health, Aviva) reimburse part of each session with a CORU-registered therapist. Cover and eligibility vary, so check your policy.
  • You can use both: claim from your insurer first, then claim 20% tax relief on whatever you paid out of pocket.

The receipts, sorted for you

The fiddly part of claiming has never been the rules, it is twelve months of receipts in a kitchen drawer. On Lingo that part is handled. Every paid session generates a receipt automatically, stored in your account, and at the end of the tax year you download a single summary with everything Revenue or your insurer needs. Claiming becomes a five minute job.

Worked example

  • €65 session
  • minus 20% tax relief for a child under 18 = around €52
  • minus any insurance reimbursement = less again
