Therapist Terms and Conditions

Lingo Therapy Platform — Effective Date: 6 March 2026

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") govern your use of the Lingo Therapy platform ("Platform") as a Speech and Language Therapist ("Therapist", "you"). The Platform is operated by Kure Digital, a company registered in Ireland ("Company", "we", "us").

By registering as a Therapist on the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Agreement in its entirety. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not register or use the Platform.

2. Platform Role and Relationship

Lingo Therapy is a technology marketplace that connects Speech and Language Therapists with patients seeking therapy services. The Platform facilitates the booking, scheduling, and payment of therapy sessions.

You acknowledge and agree that you are an independent practitioner and not an employee, agent, or partner of Kure Digital. The Platform does not provide clinical oversight, supervision, or direction of your therapeutic practice. You are solely responsible for the quality, safety, and clinical appropriateness of the therapy services you provide. Nothing in this Agreement creates an employment relationship, partnership, joint venture, or agency between you and Kure Digital.

3. Eligibility and Registration

To register as a Therapist on the Platform, you must hold a minimum of a Master's degree (or equivalent) in Speech and Language Therapy from an accredited institution, be registered with CORU (Health and Social Care Professionals Council) or the equivalent regulatory body in your jurisdiction, hold valid professional indemnity insurance covering online/telehealth therapy services, and comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and professional codes of conduct in Ireland.

You must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information during registration and maintain this information throughout your use of the Platform. Kure Digital reserves the right to verify your qualifications and registration status at any time and to suspend or remove your account if any information is found to be inaccurate or misleading.

4. Professional Obligations

As a Therapist using the Platform, you agree to provide therapy services to the highest professional standards and in accordance with evidence-based practice, maintain current CORU registration (or equivalent) and professional indemnity insurance at all times, comply with the IASLT Code of Professional Conduct and Ethics and all applicable regulatory requirements, maintain appropriate clinical records for each patient in accordance with your professional obligations, respond to booking requests within 24 hours where reasonably practicable, attend all confirmed sessions on time (repeated cancellations or no-shows may result in account suspension or termination), maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with GDPR and your professional obligations, and not solicit or encourage patients to book services outside the Platform to circumvent fees.

You are solely responsible for obtaining and maintaining valid professional indemnity insurance that covers your provision of online and telehealth speech and language therapy services. Lingo Therapy does not provide, arrange, or contribute to professional indemnity insurance on your behalf. It is your responsibility to ensure your insurance policy is current, adequate for your scope of practice, and compliant with the requirements of CORU and any other applicable regulatory body. Failure to maintain valid professional indemnity insurance may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account. Lingo Therapy accepts no liability for any claims, losses, or damages arising from your failure to hold adequate professional indemnity insurance.

Your professional indemnity insurance must meet the minimum coverage requirements set by CORU and/or IASLT. It is your responsibility to ensure your policy meets these standards. Kure Digital may request evidence of your insurance policy at any time and may suspend your account if adequate proof is not provided within 14 days of the request.

5. Payments and Commission

5.1 Payment Processing

All payments for therapy sessions booked through the Platform are processed by Kure Digital via Stripe, a third-party payment processor. Patients pay for sessions at the time of booking through the Platform. You acknowledge and agree that Kure Digital acts as the payment facilitator and that all session payments are collected by Kure Digital on your behalf before being disbursed to you, less the applicable commission.

5.2 Stripe Connect

To receive payments through the Platform, you are required to set up a Stripe Express connected account during your onboarding process. This involves providing your bank account details and verifying your identity directly with Stripe. By creating a Stripe Express account, you agree to Stripe's Connected Account Agreement (https://stripe.com/connect-account/legal/full) in addition to these Terms. Kure Digital is not responsible for Stripe's services, fees, or policies. You can review Stripe's full terms and privacy policy at https://stripe.com/legal and https://stripe.com/privacy. Your Stripe Express account is managed by you. You are responsible for ensuring your bank details are accurate and up to date. Kure Digital cannot access your bank account details and is not liable for payment delays or errors caused by incorrect information provided to Stripe.

5.3 Commission Rate

Kure Digital charges a commission of 15% (fifteen percent) of the total session fee paid by the patient for each completed booking made through the Platform. For example, if your listed session rate is €100, Kure Digital will retain €15 as commission and disburse €85 to you. The 15% commission covers the use of the Platform, patient acquisition, booking management, payment processing facilitation, and ongoing platform development and support.

5.4 How Payments Work

When a patient completes a booking and pays through the Platform: the full session fee is charged to the patient's card via Stripe; Stripe automatically deducts the Kure Digital commission (15%) as a platform fee; the remaining 85% is transferred to your Stripe Express connected account; funds are then paid out from your Stripe account to your bank account according to Stripe's payout schedule. This process is fully automated. You do not need to invoice Kure Digital or the patient.

5.5 Payout Schedule

Payouts from your Stripe Express account to your bank account are processed weekly on Fridays. Please note that Stripe may hold initial payouts for new accounts for up to 7 to 14 days as part of their standard risk review process. This is a Stripe policy and is outside Kure Digital's control.

5.6 Taxes

You are solely responsible for all tax obligations arising from your earnings through the Platform, including but not limited to income tax, USC, PRSI (if applicable), and VAT (if applicable). Kure Digital does not withhold tax on your behalf. You are responsible for registering with Revenue and filing all necessary returns.

5.7 Commission Changes

Kure Digital reserves the right to amend the commission rate with 30 days' written notice to you via email. Continued use of the Platform after such notice constitutes acceptance of the revised commission rate.

5.8 No Guaranteed Income

Lingo Therapy does not guarantee any minimum level of income, bookings, or patient volume. Your earnings through the Platform are entirely dependent on the number of sessions you complete with patients. The Platform provides the technology and patient access to facilitate bookings, but does not guarantee that bookings will be made. You acknowledge that your income from the Platform may vary and is not a substitute for guaranteed employment or a salaried position.

5.9 Receipts and Records

You are responsible for maintaining your own financial records for tax purposes. Kure Digital provides transaction records through the Platform and Stripe dashboard, but does not issue invoices or tax statements on your behalf.

5.10 Tax Compliance

By using the Platform, you confirm that you are compliant with all applicable tax obligations in your jurisdiction, including income tax, VAT (if applicable), USC, and PRSI. You agree to provide evidence of tax compliance to Kure Digital upon reasonable request. Kure Digital is not responsible for any tax liabilities arising from your use of the Platform.

6. Session Fees and Pricing

You set your own session fees within the Platform, subject to any minimum or maximum fee guidelines that Kure Digital may establish from time to time. All fees displayed to patients include the Kure Digital commission. Patients see and pay a single, transparent price.

Kure Digital reserves the right to introduce minimum or maximum session fee guidelines in the future, with 30 days' written notice. Any such guidelines will be communicated via email and will not apply to bookings already confirmed at the time of the change.

7. Cancellations, Refunds, and No-Show Policy

7.1 Patient Cancellations

When a patient cancels a booking: more than 48 hours before the session, the patient receives a full refund and no fee is charged to you; between 24 and 48 hours before the session, the patient receives a 50% refund and no fee is charged to you; within 24 hours of the session or a no-show, no refund is issued to the patient and you retain your full session fee.

7.2 Therapist Cancellations

If you cancel a confirmed booking: more than 48 hours before the session, no cancellation fee is applied and the patient receives a full refund; between 24 and 48 hours before the session, a cancellation fee equal to 15% of the session rate is applied and the patient receives a full refund; within 24 hours of the session, a cancellation fee equal to 30% of the session rate is applied and the patient receives a full refund. Repeated cancellations may result in a review of your account and potential suspension from the Platform.

7.3 Therapist No-Show

A no-show is defined as failure to join the scheduled session within 15 minutes of the start time. In the event of a therapist no-show, a penalty fee equal to 30% of the session rate is applied, the patient receives a full refund, and repeated no-shows may result in suspension or termination of your account.

7.4 Rescheduling

Either you or the patient may reschedule a session once without penalty, provided the request is made more than 48 hours before the scheduled session time. Each booking may only be rescheduled once. Further changes require cancellation and rebooking.

7.5 Refund Processing

All patient refunds are processed via Stripe and typically take 5 to 10 business days to appear in the patient's account. Cancellation fees owed by therapists will be deducted from future earnings or charged to your connected Stripe account. Cancellation penalty fees owed by Therapists will be collected by deducting the amount from your next scheduled payout via your Stripe connected account. If no future payouts are available, Kure Digital reserves the right to invoice you directly for the outstanding amount.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, logos, software, and technology associated with the Lingo Therapy platform are the intellectual property of Kure Digital and may not be reproduced, modified, or distributed without prior written consent.

Any content you upload to the Platform (profile information, biography, qualifications) remains your intellectual property, but you grant Kure Digital a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display this content on the Platform for the purposes of promoting your services.

Upon termination of your account, Kure Digital will remove your profile, biography, and profile image from the Platform within 30 days. You may request earlier removal by contacting hello@lingo-therapy.ie. Anonymised or aggregated data derived from your use of the Platform (such as session statistics) may be retained for analytics and platform improvement purposes.

9. Data Protection

Both you and Kure Digital have obligations under the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018.

In the context of therapy sessions: you are the data controller for clinical and therapy records you create and maintain; Kure Digital is the data controller for account, booking, and payment data processed through the Platform; you must process patient data in accordance with GDPR and your professional obligations.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Irish law: Kure Digital provides the Platform on an "as is" and "as available" basis and makes no warranties regarding uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or suitability for your specific needs. Kure Digital is not liable for any loss of income, revenue, or business arising from Platform downtime, technical issues, or patient cancellations. Kure Digital is not liable for any clinical outcomes, complaints, or claims arising from the therapy services you provide.

Nothing in this Agreement excludes or limits Kure Digital's liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Irish law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kure Digital, its directors, officers, and employees from and against any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your provision of therapy services through the Platform, any breach of this Agreement by you, any breach of your professional obligations or regulatory requirements, and any claim by a patient relating to the quality or outcome of therapy you have provided.

12. Suspension and Termination

Either party may terminate this Agreement at any time by providing 30 days' written notice via email.

Kure Digital may suspend or terminate your account immediately and without notice if you breach any material term of this Agreement, your CORU registration (or equivalent) is revoked, suspended, or lapses, your professional indemnity insurance lapses, a complaint is received that in Kure Digital's reasonable opinion poses a risk to patient safety, or you engage in conduct that brings the Platform into disrepute.

Upon termination, any outstanding earnings (less commission) will be disbursed within 30 business days, provided no disputes or investigations are pending.

Kure Digital may also suspend your account on a precautionary basis while investigating any complaint, allegation, or concern relating to your conduct, clinical practice, or compliance with these Terms. During any period of suspension, you will not be able to accept new bookings, but any existing confirmed bookings may be honoured or reassigned at Kure Digital's discretion.

13. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute arising from or in connection with this Agreement, both parties agree to first attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation. If the dispute is not resolved within 30 days, either party may refer the matter to mediation administered by an agreed mediator or, failing agreement, a mediator appointed by the Law Society of Ireland. Both parties agree to participate in mediation in good faith before commencing any court proceedings. If mediation is unsuccessful within 60 days of referral, either party may submit the dispute to the courts of Ireland.

14. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland. Both parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.

15. Platform Changes

Kure Digital reserves the right to modify, update, suspend, or discontinue any feature or functionality of the Platform at any time, with or without notice. We will endeavour to provide reasonable notice of any material changes that may affect your use of the Platform.

16. Third-Party Services

The Platform relies on third-party services including but not limited to Google Meet (video calls), Stripe (payment processing), and Resend (email notifications). Kure Digital is not responsible for the availability, performance, or functionality of these services. Any issues arising from third-party services are governed by their respective terms of service.

17. Beta Features

From time to time, Kure Digital may offer access to new or experimental features ("Beta Features"). Beta Features are provided "as is" without any warranties or guarantees. Kure Digital is not liable for any issues arising from the use of Beta Features.

18. Marketing and Feedback

By using the Platform, you consent to Kure Digital using anonymised and aggregated feedback, usage data, and platform statistics for marketing, promotional, and platform improvement purposes. No personally identifiable information will be shared publicly without your explicit consent.

19. Reviews and Ratings

If Kure Digital introduces a reviews or ratings system in the future, Kure Digital reserves the right to moderate, edit, or remove reviews that are abusive, defamatory, misleading, or otherwise inappropriate.

20. Prohibited Use

You may not use the Platform for any unauthorised commercial purpose, attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Platform, or interfere with the Platform's operation or security. Any such use may result in immediate termination of your account.

21. Referral Programmes

Kure Digital may from time to time operate referral programmes for Therapists. Any such programme will be subject to separate terms and conditions communicated at the time of the programme. Kure Digital reserves the right to modify or discontinue any referral programme at any time.

22. Changes to Platform Fees

Kure Digital reserves the right to change the commission rate or introduce additional platform fees with 30 days' written notice via email. Continued use of the Platform after such notice constitutes acceptance of the revised fees. Fee changes will not apply retrospectively to bookings already confirmed at the time of the change.

23. Therapist Onboarding and Offboarding

Kure Digital reserves the right to establish and amend onboarding requirements for new Therapists, including verification procedures, documentation requirements, and approval criteria. Upon termination or removal of a Therapist's account, Kure Digital will process any outstanding earnings within 30 business days, subject to any pending disputes or investigations. The Therapist must complete any outstanding sessions or arrange appropriate handover for ongoing patients.

24. International Expansion

If Kure Digital expands the Platform to jurisdictions outside Ireland, Therapists operating in those jurisdictions must comply with all local laws, regulations, and professional registration requirements applicable to the provision of speech and language therapy services. Kure Digital reserves the right to introduce jurisdiction-specific terms and conditions as required.

25. Amendments

Kure Digital reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Material changes will be communicated to you via email at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes acceptance of the amended terms.
